Word to the Wise:

As a RAD Card Business, you are joining a community of local businesses and agree to act in good faith. The following is a list of examples of what NOT to do if you wish to remain in good standing with the RAD Card and your local business community. Any violations will result in your suspension and/or expulsion from the RAD Card program.

  •  Turning away RAD customers who expect to pay with their RAD funds

  •  Not having a device on hand during ALL business hours that can accept RAD Card transactions

  • Do not take photos of customer QR codes. This can be considered theft of a customer’s financial information. Charging customers at a later time also causes accounting problems for your customers. Businesses will be suspended for this practice.

  •  Selling your business’ gift cards in exchange for RAD Card funds (RAD should be used for goods and services only)

  •  Trending transactions at or over $200 (these will be investigated as potential fraud)

  • Abusing the program by creating multiple accounts with free funding matches only to be spent at your own business

  •  If you suspect that a customer or business is abusing the RAD Card program, please email radbusiness@domopartnership.org

We’ve received extraordinary feedback from businesses and Chambers of Commerce throughout the county asking us to implement the RAD gift card program,” Supervisor Tom Patti said in a statement at the time. “We’ve heard the impactful stories of how this program has kept many businesses from shutting down over the past months and we are thrilled to be able to offer this program to our small and local businesses.
